In fact that's where we'll start for this Friday's look ahead as unbeaten Polish Heavyweight Artur Szpilka (15-0, 11) rematches the fun to watch American Mike Mollo (20-4-1, 12).
When the two men first fought, earlier this year, Szpilka was dropped twice by Mollo who was fighting for the first time in over two years. Unfortunately despite his success the American appeared to be fighting both Szpilka and referee Celestino Ruiz who seemed to have the red and white of Poland flowing through his veins. This clearly frustrated Mollo though Szpilka did do a good job of finishing off Mollo with beautiful combination in the 6th round.
Despite the poor officiating of Ruiz the fight was one of the most entertaining Heavyweight contests of recent years and we're hoping for a similarly dramatic fight this time around.
The Szplika/Mollo bout is one of several Heavyweight contests that takes place in the US on Friday with the other two both taking place on a show in Minnesota. The most interesting of these bouts sees the unbeaten Aaron Green (11-0, 9) facing off against the experienced Stacy Frazier (15-13, 14). This bout could see Green given his first chin checking and although he's unbeaten his opponents so far have been very poor.
The other Heavyweight contest in Minnesota sees Van Goodman (2-4-2, 2) taking on the hard hitting but fragile Travis Fulton (20-32-1, 20). One thing we feel safe in saying is that this bout won't be going the distance. Between the two fighters they have 22 victories, all by T/KO and 36 losses with 27 by T/KO.
On a separate card in the US, this time in California, we're expecting to see Franklin Lawrence (19-2-2, 14) in action against Darnell Wilson (24-17-3, 20). This could potentially be very explosive with both men being very big hitters though Wilson is certainly not the fighter he once was and we'd have to favour Lawrence for the victory.
Also on the Lawrence/Wilson card will be the debut of Jose Santamaria (0-0) who will be facing John Makani Sarellano (0-1).
As well as the bouts in the states we also expect a bout in Buenos Aires, Argentina as Claudio Adrian Comas (1-1, 1) is in action against a yet to be named opponent.
